New Chair of the Stabilization Funds of Canada

Our Chief Executive Officer, Vernon MacNeill, was elected Chair of the Stabilization Funds of Canada. This is a national organization which meets on a semi-annual basis to share information and best practices which effect the protection of members’ deposits throughout Canada.
In addition to the Fund Managers and Chairs from the credit union network, representation from C.D.I.C., OSFI, Credit Union Central of Canada and the provincial Regulators are invited to participate. The next meeting is scheduled for Ottawa on June 14 and 15, 2007.
