New Chair Appointed
March 2007
At CUDIC’s Annual Meeting in March 2007, Roddie Munroe was elected Chair of the Board. Mr. Munroe joined the Board in 2004 bringing with him a wealth of credit union experience, having worked at Sydney Credit Union Limited for 34 years (20 years as General Manager).
Mr. Munroe has held various positions in the Credit Union Network; CUMIS Group Limited, League Data, and the Co-operative Trust Company of Canada. He has also been very active in his community with such organizations as the University College of Cape Breton, United Way, Bethel Church, Cove Guest Home, and Celtic Colours International Festival.
Mr. Munroe is a graduate of the University College of Cape Breton with a Business Administration Degree. He completed the Canadian Institute of Management Designation and was the first recipient of the Canadian Credit Union Institute Fellowship Designation in Nova Scotia.
The Corporation is indeed fortunate to have Mr. Munroe leading the Board in fulfilling its governance responsibility.
